Daytime Confidential’s Jamey Giddens is reporting fan fave Robert Palmer Watkins has been fired from his role on General Hospital as Dillon Quartermaine! He hears the actor feels “blindsided” by his dismissal.

Apparently, our beloved RPW may have hinted at his GH departure earlier this week on Twitter:

One of the Last Quartermaines Exits
RPW’s Dillon Quartermaine arrived on the Port Charles scene in 2015 after being absent on the canvas for several years. The role was previously played by The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Scott Clifton. While Watkins was initially paired with Emme Rylan’s Lulu Spencer and her cousin Valerie Spencer (Brytni Sarpy) his character gained traction with his coupling with Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin), aka #Killon.

Watkins is one of the last few Quartermaines remaining on the canvas, along with Aunt Monica (Leslie Charles), his brother Ned (Wally Kurth), cousin Michael (Chad Duell), and sister-in-law Olivia (Lisa LoCicero). He was the son of Tracy Quartermaine and mobster Paul Hornsby.
His dismissal coincides with RPW taking time off the GH set to film his upcoming movie The Last Three Days.

this is getting ridiculous!! wth is wrong with the powers that be at gh? are they wanting this soap to tank? keep firing great actors and see how fast the show will tank because no one wants to watch it anymore!!!

That is some crap get rid of Stupid self lothing Ava Jerome, Julian Jerome, Obrect and Parker and keep the good ones like Dillon, and Hayden
I have watched GH since the 70’s but if they jeep getting rid of the good characters, I am DONE!!
I’m seriously frustrated and even disgusted with the whole show right now. They keep getting rid of our favorites, and writing out characters connected to the past. Dillon was one of the only Quartermaines left, and they also got rid of Hayden, granddaughter of Dr. Steve Hardy. What is with the powers that be at this show? Or the network, or whoever is in charge of all these firings? Are they trying to alienate fans and kill this show? Keep writing out fan favorites and you’re gonna lose fans!
They’ve done so many casting changes they need to chill out and stick with who they have for a while!

Seriously, GH? The show is turning into GOODFELLAS: THE GH ANGLE. What is going on with your writers? Bring back some serious drama, humour, and characters. Dillon was a great character, and he was just getting his groove with Kiki, and NOW you take him off? How much more of a shit storm are you planning??
