General Hospital fans will be excited to know that a fan fave character is coming back–Ashley Jones is set to reprise the role of Professor Parker Forsyth.
Pucker Up, Parker
Jones will reprise the role of Parker Forsyth, the first woman–and professor–Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) fell for as she discovered her sexual identity. The General Hospital official Twitter account tweeted the news today.

“I really want to say thank you to those that supported this character and patiently waited for her to return,” Jones told our good friends Soap Opera Digest, the most fabulous soap publication out there.
What’s to Come?
So what do you think Jones’ return will mean? Will Kristina firmly and fully own a lesbian identity? Will Parker have some other Port Charles storyline? Will this be another anti-climax of a casting coup, like the much-ballyhooed daytime returns of James DePaiva and Jennifer Bassey, which both lasted for super-short times. What do you think, dear Soap Cities readers?
Jones is a daytime vet, having played Megan Dennison on The Young and the Restless and Bridget Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful.
