The General Hospital spoilers for Friday, May 19th, predict that Griffin and Brad face off!

French History References Galore!

First, Griffin (Matt Cohen) has a, “J’accuse” moment. By that we mean, he accuses someone harshly of something. Writer Emile Zola made popular this iconic, jarring French phrase, meaning “I accuse you,” in an open letter to the French president in 1898, accusing him of anti-Semitism in the notorious Dreyfus Affair.

Then Finn says to a jaw-dropped, eye-bulged Brad (Parry Shen): “The head that’s going to roll…is yours!” That’s a reference to the French guillotine used to behead people! Just some fun facts for all you history buffs out there.

Another face-off occurs as well. Alex (Finola Hughes) greets an angry Anna (er…also Finola Hughes).

A seething Ava (Maura West) tells Carly (Laura Wright) that her time with Avery is through.

Over at Casa Corinthos, Martina (Daya Vaidya) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) bask in afterglow while having some intriguing pillow talk.

5-6-7-8!

Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) tells Lucy (Lynn Herring) that she has the best of intentions when it comes to the Nurse’s Ball. And she’s going to save it. Lucy is eventually won over. Well, say what you want about her, but Dr. O does seem to truly love performing–even more than tormenting people!
