General Hospital Daytime Emmy nominees recently gathered for a Q&A session submitted by none other than you–their loyal fans!

Five Favorites Answer Fans’ Questions

Senior Vice President and Executive Producer for the Daytime Emmys, David Michaels, moderated the gathering, which featured Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) Chad Duell (Michael Quartermaine) Chloe Lanier (Nelle Hayes/Benson) and Jeffrey Vincent Parise (ex-Carlos/Joe Rivera). The chat touched on many topics in a fun, relaxed setting. Of the five, Wright, Grahn, and Duell are past Emmy winners. Check out the video below to get in on the fun banter! Nice to Naughty!

The questions started off with a fan query for newbie Lanier, who’s a first time nominee with her nod in the category of Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama.

A fan asked, “How do you go from a role as a nice person to one as a devious person?”

Lanier gave a thoughtful answer. “I don’t like to classify people as nice or mean,” she said. “People are people, so I try to flesh that out as much as possible with any character that I play.”

Put on Your Dancing Shoes

Another fan asked a question on the minds of many fans to all the nominees–would they like to follow in Kelly Monaco’s (Sam Morgan) footsteps and compete on Dancing with the Stars? (And it must also be mentioned that Ingo Rademacher, a.k.a. Jasper Jacks, suited up for the show a few seasons ago!) Grahn, always quick with a quip, emphatically weighed in. “Absolutely, one hundred percent no!” she laughed. “At a certain age, you don’t wear sequins.”

Grahn noted that when Monaco did her turn on the show, she was there every week to support her TV daughter as Monaco’s mom couldn’t be there. The others chimed in on this subject as well.

Wright said that she did consider the possibility; however, she still is ambivalent about doing it if the opportunity came up. She did say though that “Ingo had a blast!”

Duell said, “I was hesitant for awhile, but now I’d do it just for the experience of it.” He also proclaimed that he feels he has “natural rhythm.”

A Naughty Mobster, But a Good Son

Parise got the sentimental nod from his former costars when he answered that he’d do the show for his parents. “They always wanted tickets for it, and a few years ago I was able to do that for them,” he proudly said.
