The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, December 22nd, tease that the gorgeous and garrulous group from Genoa City is submerged in soapy bubbles of drama, as usual. So, read on to get more details!

Merry, Merry, Quite Contrary

Jack (Peter Bergman) wants to fix things with Ashley (Eileen Davidson), so the brother and sister have a talk.

Ashley’s glad to be discussing things, and Jack says there’s only one logical thing to do. He says she must go to the board and tell them to reinstate him as CEO. He’s offering himself as a holiday gift to Abbott.

“That wouldn’t make any sense at all,” Ashley responds, “I’m putting myself forward as the one and only CEO.”

Trapped–Now Figure Things Out

Meanwhile, Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) get trapped together. On soaps, that’s always a good time to work out complicated problems, and to realize they’re actually really simple, right, dear Soap Cities readers?

Will they work out all their issues and re-commit to their marriage? We sure hope so, and we know a lot of you readers out there feel the same way!

Don’t Miss: Mal Young opened up about what inspired the storyline of Dina’s illness.

Naughty or Nice

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), in other news, wonders if Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) will be naught or nice, knowing what they know about what she’s done.
