Well, it’s about time, right Days of Our Lives fans?! Ken Corday Monday got a huge, meaningful honor that’s been a long while in the making.

Ooh La La Land!

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Monday honored Ken Corday, who has been executive producing Days of Our Lives since 1986,  with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Actor and friend Andy Garcia presented Corday with the award.

As he accepted the honor, Corday talked about his daytime heritage and pedigree, how much he appreciated the star, and thanked some of the people he credits with helping him attain this fabulous recognition. See the full video of his acceptance and remarks below.

Over the last 28 years, Corday’s name has become synonymous with the dazzling daytime drama that is Days of Our Lives.

Corday’s garnered 16 Daytime Emmy nominations for his work on Days.

Corday isn’t just an accomplished producer, Days fans. He’s also an accomplished musician. In fact, he’s been honored for his work in music many times too.

He also has a one percent stake in another daytime drama, The Young and the Restless.

Can we just say, we are in awe of Mr. Corday here at Soap Cities. If you’ve ever watched a producer of a TV show or movie at work, you know why. And to imagine what a producer of a daytime serial that airs five days a week for 40 minutes or so each does! Whoa!
