Just when Steffy and the rest of the Forresters thought they had a handle on the oldest/newest threat to their fashion empire on “Bold and the Beautiful,” another member of the competing dynasty is headed to LA, to be played by actor Courtney Grosbeck.

Coco Chanel? No–Coco Spectra!

We’ll admit, we thought even we couldn’t handle another Spectra, that the fabulousness quota on “Bold and the Beautiful” (B&B) was full. Apparently not!

Sally’s younger, adolescent sister will make her debut on the CBS sudser in two weeks, according to Soap Opera Digest.

Courtney Grosbeck will play Coco Spectra, sister of Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). We can’t wait to see what adding a dose of teen angst will do to the already wild Spectra antics on B&B. A love interest for RJ (Anthony Trupel), perhaps? That would be a positively Shakespearean, yet likely more comedic and hopefully not as tragic, layer in the Forrester/Spectra rivalry.

Coco could take a cue from classic and current soap teens and cause major headaches for her elders in other ways too.

Salacious Spectras vs. Fuddy-Duddy Forresters

Whichever team you’re on, Team Spectra or Team Forrester, you have to admit that the brazen, irreverent Spectras make the Forresters look about as fun as bowl of plain oatmeal.

Adding some teenage tartiness can only bring the humor, and the drama, on B&B to greater heights. We look forward to seeing how Coco adds to Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Woods) CEO challenges–not because we dislike Steffy, but because conflict is the heart of drama.

You Go, Grosbeck!

Grosbeck has several film and TV credits on her resume, including roles on the sitcom “Parenthood,” and the darker-themed short film “The Waste Land.”
