Two NBC Executives Speak Out on Future of Days of Our Lives

Soap Cities recently wrote of our disagreement with the news outlets that predicted “Days of Our Lives” would be replaced by Megyn Kelly’s upcoming NBC talk show. Today two higher-ups at NBC spoke out on why we were right!

The Future’s So Bright at Days, We’ve Gotta Wear Shades

NBC Entertainment President, Jennifer Salke, said that though Days’ next renewal isn’t for sure yet, she is “optimistic,” reported Soap Hub.

She also addressed the People.com story saying NBC would likely axe Days in favor of Kelly’s upcoming show.

“I saw that too and looked into it. I feel like I didn’t see anything legitimate,” Salke said.

And, Once Again…

NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt echoed Salke’s positive words.

“We don’t make a decision for another couple months, but I don’t think it’s over yet,”  Greenblatt said, according to TVline.com. Greenblatt is Salke’s superior.

“We haven’t made a decision. But, we like that show,” Greenblatt also said, reported Deadline.com.

Soap Hub also cited a Days actor who, speaking off-the record, said he or she feels confident about Days future.
