Days Casting Role for Actor in His 30’s

Look out, “Days of Our Lives” (Days) fans! Salem’s set to get just a little soap-ier! And here you thought it was all maxed out on the drama!

“The Name’s Alex. Alex ___.”

The casting call released by Days seeks a talented thespian between 30 and 39, reported Soap Opera Digest (SOD) Wednesday.

“Alex has spent the last ten years traveling the world and amassing a small fortune. His ambition grew and his success in the marketplace has given him an enough of a cocky confidence to come to Salem with an agenda to challenge his family for control of the business.  When it comes to women, Alex can be a bit of a playboy like his dad used to be,” reads the rest of the casting call as reported by SOD.

Let’s Speculate for a Moment

Could this be Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) half-brother, son of Justin (Wally Kurth) and Anjelica McDaniel?

If he’s coming to town “WITH [our caps]an agenda to challenge his family for control of the business,” does that mean he’s a DiMera or a Kiriakis, given that both families own prominent Salem businesses.

A womanizer like his dad doesn’t exactly narrow it down. You practically have to be a certified ladies’ man to call Salem your home.

Soap Cities Says a Preliminary Welcome to “Alex”

Well, we certainly have a lot to wonder about!

What we know for sure is that head writing team Dena Higley and Ryan Quan know how to write juicy drama that keeps us coming back for more. So whoever this “Alex” is, he sure not to disappoint.
