Doctor in the House
His dad, Fr. Frank Vilasuso, is an anesthesiologist. Vilasuso is one of three siblings–his older brother’s named Javier and younger sister’s Marianne. His mom’s name is Ana.
Days isn’t his first soap gig, as many daytime fans know. Vilasuso got his start on Guiding Light playing Tony Santos. He also spent time on All My Children playing Griffin Castillo.
Vilasuso can boast of a Daytime Emmy win for his role as Tony on Guiding Light in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama.
Vilasuso also has also lent his talent to several popular television series. They include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 8 Simple Rules, CSI:Miami, and Numb3rs, to name a few.
The Big Screen
His handsome face has graced the silver screen as well. Vilasuso’s movie credits include The Last Home Run, The Lost City and La Linea.
Vilasuso is related to actor Andy Garcia by marriage. His cousin, Marivi, is married to Garcia. And, Vilasuso’s wife, actress Kaitlin Riley, is the older sister of actress Bailee Madison.
Vilasuso and Riley have two children, daughters Riley Grace and Everly Maeve.
Acting isn’t the only thing that he is passionate about. Vilasuso also enjoys photography, poetry, writing and keeping in shape by working out.
Devotion to his Art
According to his IMDb profile, Vilasuso makes no bones about his commitment to his craft. “Acting is what I’m passionate about. That’s my art, what I love,” he said.
