Whoa–the Greg Rikaart stunners just keep on coming!

Say Hello to Salem

“TVLine has learned exclusively that the Young and the Restless vet is joining the NBC soap this spring for a multi-episode arc. A Days rep confirmed the casting, but declined to offer details on Rikaart’s character,” the trusted industry source reported Tuesday.

Rikaart will star in a multi-episode arc on Days of Our Lives.

We were sufficiently stunned–or more than sufficiently, rather–when news of Rikaart’s ouster broke this past summer. Then, we were delighted to learn that he would return to Y&R on a recurring basis.

And now this news of his move to Salem!? Whew! Let us catch our breath, right, dear Soap Cities readers?

Salem fans, what do you think Rikaart will be up to at NBC? What role would he be perfect for, do you think? IS Ron Carlivati teasing us? Could there be more to this role than meets the eye?

Don’t Miss: This Days star just had to reprise her fan fave role when her onscreen son did the same.

An Impressive Resume

Rikaart’s soap curriculum vitae includes fourteen years as a central character on Y&R and a 2005 Daytime Emmy nod for his work there.

His Kevin is in that special soap character category of reformed con artist, arriving in town as a nerdy ne’er-do-well and transitioning to upstanding family man.

Must-Read: Thaao Penghlis hinted at onscreen trouble to come for this costar.

He gained a legion of passionate fans during his on-contract days at the CBS sudser, and he’ll be able to continue on his current recurring basis even as he plays the multi-episode Days arc.
