Chandler Massey took to Twitter to confirm his first re-airdate on Days of Our Lives, and we have the deets on his return right here!

We Missed Ya’
When a Chandler fan tweeted the actor was returning to Days on Friday, September 15, Massey tweeted in response, saying he’s “not 100% but I’m pretty sure that’s right.” While the show has not officially confirmed his return date, it does make sense Massey would debut on a Cliffhanger Friday! Don’t you agree, dear readers?!
All we can say is, “yay!” And he’s not a ghost or a figment of anyone’s imagination, so that’s great too [see below for confirmation of that]! However, the show is mum on whether Massey is actually returning to the show as Will Horton since he was killed on-screen by the necktie killer, “Batty” Ben Weston. Of course there are rumblings that Ben, played by Robert Scott Wilson, is returning to the show in October, along with the confirmed return of Will’s mom Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney)!

Excitement at Days!
We, the fans, are not the only ones excited about Will and Sami’s return! In the Fall Preview (September 11th) issue of the wonderful Soap Opera Digest, Days EP Ken Corday says “the return of two or three characters not only that we love but are greatly missed will make for heartwarming story. I can’t gush on enough; it’s great.”
Double Wedding Chaos!
As soap fans, we know that no couple getting hitched goes off without a hitch. An unexpected guest is going to through the double wedding of Abigail (Marci Miller) & Chad (Billy Flynn) and Paul (Christopher Sean) & Sonny (Freddie Smith) into great chaos! Days Headwriter Ron Carlivati hints in the latest SOD the “unexpected guest” will throw “the whole wedding into chaos,” and that Sonny and Paul will be the “most impacted” couple. That brings us to…
Sami’s Arrival in Salem!
Sami will arrive in town in October, shortly following Will’s return to the show. Carlivati admits: “I don’t think it’s a big stretch to say the impetus for her arrival in town has something to do with that. And it brings her back with a drive.” We can’t wait to see what crazy antics Sami will be up to next, can we dear readers?!
Memphis Mystery
As Carlivati stated earlier, the unexpected guest at the double wedding will shake up a lot of people. Carlivati said that info will cause a group of our beloved Salem-ites to go down south on a quest to investigate a mystery. So expect Paul and Sonny, Lucas and Sami, John and Marlena, and Adrienne and Justin to be Walking in Memphis “to follow a clue about this mystery.” Will this mystery have to do with Will Horton?!
