Chandler Massey’s Will Horton will make a “ghostly” Days of Our Lives Friday cliffhanger and the following Monday’s episode, to comfort his father Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo). Will he be actually returning in the flesh?!
A Reshoot of Intense Proportions
Well, sit down and read while we pour you a spot o’ tea.
A famous Salem death scene was recreated for Chandler Massey’s return to Days of Our Lives, and a surprise return coincides with his comeback.
Massey served some delicious Days dish to fans in the September 10th print edition of the New York Post (<– also available via that link).
Related: This Days fan fave is also making a much-anticipated Salem comeback.
While Massey will first appear as a ghost on the show, he’s actually returning in the flesh.
Massey did several re-shoots of his predecessor’s scenes with Batty Ben (Wilson) including the climactic necktie killer death scene.
“The scenes were very intense and required a lot of energy,” Massey said.
Having seen the original scenes between Will and Ben, we can just imagine how potent the new scenes between Will and Ben will be, can’t we, dear Soap Cities, readers?
A major shoutout goes to Soap Cities contributor, Marcia Howell Hensley, and Days of Our Lives, Secrets Revealed Co-Admin, Debbee Lewis for bringing our attention to this breaking news story.

More From Massey
Don’t Miss: This incoming Days star commemorated an important Salem first.
The Post asked Massey how Will’s return will affect the show.
“The most obvious thing is Sonny [Freddie Smith], his longtime love, is involved with someone else now,” offered Massey. “It throws a pretty sizable wrench into [that]romance.”
Massey also comforted fans by saying Will’s return won’t be anything supernatural or sci-fi.
“They have a medically plausible explanation,” Massey said of the show’s approach to his comeback.
Batty Ben Strikes Again?
Will Batty Ben be coming back to Salem beyond his recreated flashback scenes with Massey’s Will? It’s possible, readers. From what we hear from various inside sources, Wilson will be coming back to the show in October for at least 11 episodes.
