Television and Salem icon Lisa Rinna is set to reprise the role she made famous on Days of Our Lives!
Feeling Silly Cuz of Billie!
Yes, it’s true, Days fans: the latest NBC sudser icon to return to Salem is none other than Lisa Rinna, who has played the legacy character Billie off and on since 1992, reported our wonderful friends at EW.com.
Other actresses have played her and played her well, but Billie and all her soapy antics became synonymous with Rinna.

The colorful Billie has quite the Salem history. Her mother is Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), as all you Days fans and dear Soap Cities readers know, and her brother is Austin (Austin Peck). She’s been a cop, an ISA agent, and a cosmetics mogul!
Rinna is the latest Days veteran to return to the show under the so-far-fabulous head writing tenure of Ron Carlivati. Other fan faves who will be on our screens again include Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady), Chandler Massey (Will Horton), and Louise Sorel (Vivian Alamain).

Mesmerizing On-Screen and Off-Screen
Rinna has also played lusty, scheming Taylor McBride on Melrose Place, and she’s been a staple during the filler-injecting, finger-pointing wackiness known as The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The later cemented her position in the pantheon of pop cultural forces.
But she’s just as fascinating off-screen. She’s married, of course, to Harry Hamlin (whoo–be still our beating tickers!), and of course there’s her lips, which, taken together form the poutiest pout in all of Hollywood!

That must be part of why Days re-hired Rinna: to take advantage of her come-hither lips and popularity with fans. This is, after all, a critical time for our beloved show during which it needs to prove its ratings mettle. And it will!
