B&B announced Ingo Rademacher will step into the role of Thorne Forrester just two days after Winsor Harmon announced he’d been recast.
Goodbye and G’Day, Mates
So, this weekend we found out Harmon was let go, then today we find out Ingo Rademacher, the hunky Aussie actor and ABC soap star, will take over the role of the passionate Forrester son, Thorne, reported the industry’s premier journalist, our friend, Michael Logan. His first scenes as Thorne will air in “mid-to-late November,” according to Logan.
How It All Went Down (Under)
Rademacher recently moved back to LA, and briefly reprised the wildly popular role of Jax. Sonny (Maurice Benard) had Jax deported shortly thereafter, so his stint at GH ended. He told Logan he wasn’t envisioning staying on at GH. He and his wife, Ehiku, moved their family back to LA to be near the factory that supplies the clothes for her apparel line.
“…I wasn’t even thinking about a future at GH. I guess Jax won’t be showing up there anytime soon—or, if he does, he won’t look like me!”
As for what Rademacher’s Thorne will be up to upon his late-fall arrival in LA, Rademacher had little to say. He hasn’t spoken to Brad Bell in detail, which tells us this whole recast is quite new!
Taking On an Established Role
“I’ve never stepped into a role that was previously played by someone else. I hope the fans aren’t too upset about this,” Rademacher offered to Logan.
Don’t Miss: Did you know this CBS sudser fan fave is leaving the show?
Rademacher noted that upon debuting the role of Jax on GH, show runners wanted him to hook up with Rena Sofer’s (ex-Lois Cerullo) character. That, as GH fans know, never happened. Instead a long-running love triangle between Sonny, Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) and Jax came to be.
“And now Rena is on B&B [playing Quinn]so, hey, maybe we’ll wind up together after all!” teased Rademacher.

So tired of Steffie story line. Please get on to something else. You are wearing this out. I fast forward when this is on.
I agree this show drags on to the point I don’t watch it everyday anymore
