Fan fave James Lastovic bid goodbye on Instagram to his Days family as his character Joey is set to leave Salem.

Lastovic’s character, Joey, admitted to causing the death of Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), which will begin the story arc leading to Lastovic’s last scene, shot six months ago and aired August 16, moved him to post the emotional message, which you can read below.

Close Cast Bond
It’s clear that the actor had a close bond with co-stars Evans (Kayla) and Nichols (Patch), especially because he made a point to thank them graciously in his Instagram post. He also made a point to issue a humble thank you to the show.
Lastovic joined the show in 2015. Judging from fan reactions, his character was popular with viewers, who have made their opinions on his exit known on various social media platforms. They’re not too thrilled, and we’re sure that includes some of our dear Soap Cities readers/family!
