A beloved and longtime star of General Hospital, Peter Hansen, died Sunday. He was 95 years old.
A Port Charles Legal Eagle and Core Family Member
Hansen originated the role of Lee Baldwin in 1965, just two years after GH’s debut. He adopted Scott (Kin Shriner), who followed in his judicial career footsteps. Lee was also a recovering alcoholic and addiction counselor at the hospital. He had a relationship with fan fave Jessie Brewer too. He even transitioned the Lee to GH spinoff Port Charles.
A Storied Career
Hansen had a slew of impressive TV and film credits to his name. Just one of these was a guest-starring role as the lecherous Dr. Clayton on an episode of The Golden Girls, one of our faves here at Soap Cities.
He was a member of the United State Marine Corps.
His on-screen son shared a touching memory and reminder of his legacy.
RIP Peter Hansen. I will miss our talks, but me and @GeneralHospital fans have so many great memory’s of u ! pic.twitter.com/mnhQ1lUbJu

So, sad, he was overall a great role model for Scott. He, nor Gail are ever mentioned, where are they supposed to be, anyway?
