Abhi Sinha is making a splash in daytime, as the newest, cutest, smartest addition to the cast of The Young and the Restless. Here’s some info you have to know about the actor!
#1 Playin’ It Pisces
Sinha was born on February 20th, according to Soaps In Depth.
That makes him a Pisces, one of our 12 favorite signs in the Western zodiac here at Soap Cities.

#2 Diversifying Daytime
Sinha is one of the first characters of Indian descent featured in a central storyline in daytime.
One Life to Live fans will recall Rama and Vimal Patel, an Indian-American couple involved in loads of romantic intrigue and corporate drama in Llanview as a precursor to Ravishing Ravi on Y&R.
#3 He Already Has a Lot Very Restless Fans
Sinha is a hit with Y&R viewers. His nuanced performance as Genoa City’s latest cerebral hottie (Dr.Neville, Natalie…anyone?) has fans of the CBS sudser cheering with delight.

#4 Striking Similarities
Sinha has some brainy brawn, much like Ravi. While he got the acting bug in high school, at the University of Southern California he studied other subjects.
“I was majoring in sports journalism and neuroscience with the hopes of doing something that involved sports,” he told The Huffington Post.
#5 Channeling the Challenges of an Acting Career
Sinha said that the frequent rejection actors experience informed his portrayal of Danny on the ABC drama Chasing Life. Danny was abrasive and at times uncouth, but Sinha he saw these aspects of the character as rooted in insecurity.
“As an actor, I am faced with constant rejection, which can really cause issues with self-esteem and certain defense mechanisms are often deployed such as humor, sarcasm, or even jerkiness,” reported Soaps In Depth.
