All My Children star Eva La Rue took to social media to post an inspiring message about her mother’s experience with cancer.
#Mom #Love
It’s amazing how powerful hashtags can be, right, Soap Cities readers? Those are two of the ones La Rue posted to Instagram with a pic of her smiling and clutching her mother’s hand in support as the matriarch lay in bed. She’s looking as if she’s taking her bout with cancer in stride, also grinning and looking fabulous! See the full post below.
An Admirable History
“Over the years, La Rue has been an advocate for cancer-associated causes. She has served as the spokesperson for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and the Beckstrand Cancer Foundation,” reported Michael Fairman.
Very Personal
Cancer has touched many of our lives, but La Rue’s perhaps more than many. Her grandmother and great-grandmother both died of the affliction, according to Michael Fairman.
Channeling Dr. Maria
La Rue played a dedicated and gifted physician on All My Children on an off, with only short breaks, from 1993 until 2011. She exuded a healing energy on the show. That sanguine force, seemingly a part of what makes up the actress, along with the gumption she said in her Instagram post she inherited from her single mom who never gave up or gave in, is likely doing the elder La Rue wonders!
