“The Young and the Restless” Executive Producer Mal Young spoke about what we can expect for Cane and Lily (aka Lane) during February Sweeps!
Cane/Lily: “Lily’s (Christel Khalil) return to modeling will be more of an adjustment for her and Cane (Daniel Goddard) than either one of them realized. This popular couple will do what they do best — face any crisis together, but this time, it may be a bigger test than either of them cold have expected,” Young told “Soap Opera Digest” in its latest print issue.
Under former Headwriter Chuck Pratt, Cane seemed to be developing a pain pill addiction with a recent injury that was written into the show. It appears new HW Sally Sussman changed course to give Lane a hot sizzlin’ storyline as a couple instead.
And we at SC believe we have the proof! SoapCentral.com reports Y&R has hired Darnell Kirkwood as hot photographer Jordan Wilde. Wilde will be interacting with the Brash & Sassy Crew! Spoilers in the same issue of “Soap Opera Digest” indicate Lily will be visited by an old friend next week…Could this old friend be Jordan who was a photographer during Lily’s Fresh Face of Jabot days?! We thinks so!
While we expect lots of hot sparks between Lily and Jordan, how will Cane be taking all this?! Not great we take it, since SOD reports Cane is already ready to blow up at Billy this week at B&S. Let’s not forget, Cane is also not keen on sharing his wife with the world as a model!
Kirkwood took to Twitter to say “What an honor to be part of such an iconic and amazing show! I can’t wait to share Jordan’s story with you guys!”
Soap Central also reported the original casting call for the shutterbug role described the character as a “sexy African American in his early 30s who’s not only a gifted photographer but has serious swagger.” The show also asked for actors specifically to be six feet in height. The character was originally named Ryder but we’ll take Jordan Wilde anytime! Let’s see if Jordan measures up to be B&S photographer in more ways than one!
Daytime newbie Kirkwood makes his debut on Y&R on next Friday, February 10th!
