The always irreverent, often hilarious Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis, “General Hospital” [GH]) posted a sidesplitting status update to her Facebook artist page.
Custom T-Shirts for the Alexis Davis in Your Life
Grahn wrote three slogans that might appear on tee shirts Alexis could wear, poking fun at her life and storylines of late. She references her worsening dependence on alcoholism; her blind spot when it came to Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Julian (William DeVry) and their lives of crime; and her half-brother, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Granted, these are all serious subjects, but Grahn is known for her dry wit when it comes to both her own life and Alexis’. And sometimes, if you don’t laugh at your life (or your on-screen alter ego’s), you’ll cry!

A Tough Year Continues
Alexis had a difficult year in 2016, and it’s continued into 2017. First she decided she could make excuses for the love of her life no more and left Julian for his murder of Carlos and refusal to confess to it. Her testimony against him in court was a disaster after then-district attorney Paul Hornsby slipped something in her drink, rendering her incoherent and seeing to Julian’s acquittal. The New York Bar Association then suspended her law license, taking away a part of her life that meant so much to her, her legal career. She turned to alcohol to assuage her anxiety and depression, only leading to more troubles. Now she fears she may have had something to do with Tom Baker’s murder. This is just as she prepares to go before the Bar Association to attempt to get her legal license back.
An Accomplished Daytime Actor
Grahn has played Alexis Davis on “GH” since 1996. She played Julia Wainwright Capwell on the classic soap, “Santa Barbara” for eight years, and before that portrayed Beverly Wilkes on “One Life to Live” for two years.
She has been nominated for six Daytime Emmy Awards winning in 1989 and 2012. She has numerous other award nominations and wins under her belt, including several Soap Opera Digest Awards.
