Just as a war for control at Brash and Sassy is breaking out, “The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) hired actor Laur Allen to play a “charming and confident” consultant for the Genoa City cosmetics company.
Wherefore Art Thou, Juliet?
Oh, you’re in Wisconsin!
Juliet Helton, played by Allen, will be “working easily with its [Brash and Sassy’s] power players,” reported Soaps In Depth (SID). That could mean Billy (Jason Thompson), Cane (Daniel Goddard), Jill (Jess Walton), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), or whoever else gets mixed up in the corporate intrigue there. To top it all off, Colin’s coming back into town too! We’ve never know that Genoa City joker to be far from the hottest dramas in town.
Her first airdate will be February 28th’s episode. She will appear in “multiple episodes,” said SID.
You Came to the Right Show, Laur!
On her professional website, Allen describes herself as bi-racial. She says she was raised with a “respect for the duality in everything.” That skill will come in handy when she’s playing Juliet, as every soap character has at least two sides to him/her. We’re guessing the charm and confidence mentioned above belie some more complex realities in Helton’s persona.
Hopefully it won’t be a simple hop into bed with Billy situation, given how beautiful Allen is. This performer comes with a fascinating background, as revealed on her website, and in more ways than her ethnic heritage. We look forward to finding out what mischief Juliet gets into on Y&R later this month!
