Just the news “Britch” fans want to hear: Kelly Thiebaud will reprise to her popular role soon.

A Jason Connection?

Thiebaud, who plays Britt Westbourne on General Hospital, will resume portraying that scheming character in December.

Many GH viewers were disappointed when mean-girl-turned-fan fave Britt (Thiebaud) sailed off from the Port Charles docks into the sunset with daddy Faison (Anders Hove) back in 2014. Well, good news for those awaiting the character’s return. Thiebaud will grace the GH screens again as Britt in December, according to our lovely friends at Soap Opera Digest. The character last popped in to Port Charles in 2015, when she paid a visit to close friend Brad (Parry Shen) during the Nurses’ Ball.

It can’t be overlooked that Britt has a connection to the current, sizzling Jason/Drew storyline. Her dastardly dad shot and presumably killed Jason (Steve Burton), with his body dumped into the water not to be found until his recent reappearance as Patient 6. Now that he’s back in Port Charles and in the midst of trying to establish his true identity–in light of the fact  the recent revelation that the other “Jason” (Billy Miller) is most likely his long-lost twin brother, Drew–Britt just might have information that leads Jason to not only solidify his true identity but which, perhaps equally as important, helps him put the puzzle pieces together of how he ended up arriving in a Russian clinic with no memory of how he got there.

Don’t Miss: A certain toe-tapping superstar is set to resume her reality competition show appearances.

A Liesl/Britt/Nathan Reunion, and a Faison Reappearance Down the Road?

Who can forget the banter and scheming between Britt and her more than occasionally monstrous mutter, Liesl (Kathleen Gati), which veered from hostile to, at times, affectionate, right, dear Soap Cities readers? Then there was the bond that developed between Britt and her newly discovered sibling (and upstanding detective) Nathan (Ryan Paevey). Britt’s reappearance after her prolonged absence surely will have an effect on both mom and brother, who, of course operate on different sides of the law despite their mutual fondness. How they will fit into Britt’s upcoming storyline is anyone’s guess, and the icing on the cake would be the reappearance of Faison, which, naturally, would really thrown things into chaos!

Other Projects

Thiebaud hasn’t been idle since she wrapped her role on GH. She starred in the Hallmark Channel movie, Love at First Glance, and in movies The Abduction of Angie, which also starred GH alum (and soon to return to the soap in a different role) Tamara Braun (ex-Carly), and Every 21 Seconds. Thiebaud and former GH co-star Bryan Craig (Morgan) announced their engagement in 2015; however, word is they are no longer together.

Must-Read: See how long Steve Burton said he’s sticking around GH–at the very least1

We at Soap Cities are very excited to see Thiebaud back and eagerly anticipate what her storyline has in store!
