Former Passions star Travis Schuldt will be playing opposite Maura West (Ava). We are intrigued!
A Mystery Role!
Our friends at Soap Opera Digest report that ex-Passions star Travis Schuldt (ex-Ethan) will soon be showing up on General Hospital for scenes with the beleaguered Ava (Maura West). It will be very interesting to see what character Schuldt is playing, and he fits into the self-proclaimed “ex-mob” princess and art gallery owner’s storyline. Now that her former “rescuee,” Patient 6/Jason (Steve Burton) knows via Carly (Laura Wright) that Ava set the proverbial wheels in motion (quite literally, given how he died) that led to Morgan’s (ex-Bryan Craig) demise, coupled with new paramour Griffin (Matt Cohen) caught in the middle of her many dilemmas, we can’t help but wonder if Schuldt’s character will come to her aid somehow or, in fact, complicate matters.
As fans know, Ava’s life is one big mess now, aside from the sticky situation with Patient 6/Jason. Her brother, Julian, (William deVry) is languishing in jail, and she is desperate for the risky operation to eradicate her remaining burn scars. To top all of this off, she’s still pretty much the town pariah!
Back to Daytime!
It will be nice to see Schuldt’s familiar face. He was the original Ethan Crane on that great soap gone by, Passions. The Topeka, Kansas native has since guest starred on many television series, ranging from 2 Broke Girls, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Blue Bloods, The Mentalist to NCIS, just to name a few. Of course, who could forget his long-running role on Scrubs as Elliot’s love interest, Keith Dudemeister! His talent has also graced the big screen as well, in flicks such as The Hitcher and Hack.
On the Home Front
Schuldt’s role on Passions led him to his wife, actress Natalie Zea, who played the role of Gwen on the soap. Together, they have a young son and a daughter. We at Soap Cities look forward to seeing Schuldt in his new role!
