Kristoff St. John is undergoing psychiatric evaluation after sending his ex-wife pictures that indicated he was suicidal.

A Worried Ex Intervenes

St. John sent ex-wife Mia St. John pictures taken with his cell phone that showed him holding a gun to his head, reported TMZ Sunday.

Mia contacted the police, who went to the actor’s house.

“When cops arrived, they confiscated 2 guns and placed Kristoff under a 72-hour hold for mental evaluation,” according to TMZ.

A Tragic Anniversary Approaches

“Sources close to Kristoff” told the celebrity news website that St. John was “very, very upset” as the November 23rd anniversary of his son, Julian’s, suicide neared.

The talented thespian, St. John, was married to Mia for four years. They had a son, Julian, and a daughter, Paris Nicole. He has a daughter, Lola, with his second ex-wife, Alana, as well.

Mia started the El Saber es Poder Foundation to battle mental illness, from which Julian suffered before he committed suicide.

Mia also Tweeted a series of messages denying that she called the police in response to suicide attempts by her ex-husband.
