Andrew Trischitta played trouble-prone teen Jack Manning on One Life to Live. See what he’s been up to since!

Once in a Lifetime

Trischitta is very grateful for his OLTL experience. “Looking back on it, playing the role of Jack Manning was one of the best things that could have happened to me early in my career,” he told Soap Opera Intel. “If I could, I would go back and do it all again, because it was an absolute blast, and I got to meet some amazing people, from Snoop Dog to JWOWW to Corbin Bleu, and of course amazing cast members.”

Academics and Acting

Trischitta said that, although he cherished his time on OLTL, making the transition from high school student was tricky. “It was a little weird at first; having to drop out of public school isn’t easy,” he said. “But, I wanted to complete my high school education, so I took classes online while working as a full time actor, and that meant my plate was very full from sunrise to sundown, sometimes longer.”

Trischitta, though, does not seem to have any regrets about his experience balancing acting on a renowned soap and keeping up with his education. “Between commuting myself into the city [New York] and being thrust into some intense storylines, I believe OLTL made me a more mature person than I could have been otherwise, and gave me a great life and career experience at a relatively young age.” Sage words indeed!

College Days

Trischitta began college at UCLA after the online version of OLTL was cancelled, and he graduated this month. “It has been a very fast four years and I can’t believe that OLTL was that long ago,” he said. “It seems like just yesterday we were on set and shooting episodes.”

Future Plans–Acting’s in the Equation!

Trischitta’s fans can look forward to seeing more of his thespian talents in the future. He has a role in an upcoming sitcom called Here to There, which also stars his former OLTL castmate, Melissa Archer (Natalie Buchanan).

“I credit my involvement with the show solely on Melissa Archer,” he said. “She recommended me to the writers of this sitcom, who had to approve of me, of course.” The show is set on the Seattle, Washington-to-Bainbridge ferry. Trischitta’s character, Ordinary Seaman Danny Raguseo, is a combination of “girl-chasing, unknowingly smart, and funny,” according to the actor.

Reboot-Ready

Now that the rights to OLTL have gone back to ABC, Trischitta also addressed rumors that the beloved soap could be rebooted on Netflix, or that his character could show up on General Hospital.

“Of course, I would love to be part of any kind of reboot or character resurrection,” he offered. “With my experience in the soap world so far, everyone, from actors to backstage crew, has had great character, and I would love to be surrounded by people like that again.”  Trischitta said that he’s busy settling in Los Angeles “full time.”

He also said that he’s reenter the acting game, in addition to his Here to There role. “I plan on getting back into the swing of things and auditioning like crazy, until I find the right role and hope to appear on a screen sometime in the near future,” he said.

We at Soap Cities have no doubt that his talent will be much sought after and wish him the best!
