However, Angela Lansbury put in her two cents and said she loved Octavia Spencer acting, but to remake MURDER, SHE WROTE with black Jessica was ludicrous. Instead, Lansbury suggested having herself return as Jessica to pass on the torch to Octavia’s character.

Why not have it center around LB, Kristina, Sable’s child with Dex…that way, Jeff, Fallon, Sable, Aunt Monica, Uncle Miles…they could all make appearances. The old viewers wouldn’t feel left out and the new viewers would get a feel of the drama caused in the original.

I was too young to know what was going on when it originally aired. I am thrilled to see them bring it back, but I sometimes wornder if the original should be left alone? It failed with the reboot of MELROSE PLACE and the only reason the continuation of DALLAS worked was because it was a continuation. I don’t think Josh Henderson could have pulled off being a new JR Ewing and, oh say Bree Williamson, as the new SUELLEN. The new DYNASTY would fare better having Heather Locklear, Emma Samms, Diahann Carroll and others showing up in their original roles. I’ll watch this show, but not sure it is on a live you to the hype.
