Morgan Fairchild, who’s headed to Days of Our Lives this summer.

Get ready for more of the wacky Salem antics we love, with a dose of glitz and glamour thrown in, Days of Our Lives fan, television icon Morgan Fairchild is headed to the NBC sudser this summer.

Fairchild To Add the Fab to Fabulous in Salem

“A show rep at ‘Days of our Lives’ has confirmed to Soaps.com that talented Morgan Fairchild will be making an appearance on NBC’s ‘Days of our Lives’ this summer,” reported soaps.com.

Related: Chandler Massey back to Days as Will Horton.

While the show has remained mum about exactly what role the legendary TV actress will play, Days fans tongues have been wagging speculating who it will be. Many have said she’ll play Ava Vitali’s mom–oh, how perfect that would be!

We’d personally love to see her spar with Kate (Lauren Koslow).

We soap fans do love a good speculation don’t we, dear Soap Cities readers? Who do you think she might play?

A Singular Television Career

Fairchild has a host of regular, recurring, and guest-starring roles on several TV shows since her debut in that medium in 1973.

Also: Alison Sweeney to reprise role of Sami Brady.

Since then she’s almost made an on-screen brand for herself. The characters she plays tend to be wealthy, very glamorous, independent, scheming, but ultimately heroines–or at least anti-heroines. Perhaps the most emblematic of these was was media mogul Sydney Chase on Loving spin-off, The City.

Don’t Miss: Days’ Kate Mansi on her Daytime Emmy nom and more–she won, of course!

Whoever Fairchild plays, it looks like she’ll be another welcome change Ron Carlivati has in the works for our beloved Days of Our Lives. So far fan faves Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and Chandler Massey (Will Horton) have confirmed their returns to the show!
