Watkins’ given name is Charles Curtis Watkins III, but we know and love him as simply Tuc!

Midwestern Roots

Watkins was born in Kansas City, Kansas. Indiana University is his alma mater.

Multifaceted and Multitalented

He was a communications major in college, and can boast of a triple minor in theater, psychology. and French! Watkins immersed himself in sports and theater in high school.

A Man of Many Credits

Prior to his debut on OLTL, Watkins went the commercial route, with Miller Beer, Snickers, and the U.S. Navy among his credits. He then guest starred on many television series, including Sisters, Melrose Place, Family Law, Six Feet Under, and NYPD Blue just to name a few.

Soap Vet

His role on OLTL wasn’t his first on a soap. That would be the part he played on General Hospital, Dr. Pierce Dorman.

An Indie and a Blockbuster!

Watkins talents have also graced the big screen as well as the small one. His movie debut was in 1999’s I Think I Do, and, that same year, appeared as Mr. Burns in The Mummy, starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz.

Doting Dad – Double the Fun!

Watkins and his partner have twins: a son, Curtis, and daughter, Catchen (nicknamed Catch).

Treading the Boards

Watkins has starred in the Off-Broadway play, White Lies with Tony winner Betty Buckley. He also has the Los Angeles production of Boys’ Play among his theatrical credits, for which he won the 1992 Dramalogue Award.

And a Soap Award!

Watkins won the Soap Opera Digest award for Outstanding Male Scene Stealer in 1996 for his role on OLTL.

    Tuc appeared in OLTL first, starting in 1994. He didn’t play Dr. Pierce Dornan until later.
