The modern gift one gives to commemorate a 54th anniversary is glass, says etiquette. Glass is strong, resilient, but requires care in order not to break.
What a great metaphor for GH! With some expert handling and thoughtful regard it gets, the show will no doubt be around for another 54 years. And more!
And we can’t wait to see what the doctors, nurses, mobsters, and assorted other heroes and villains of Port Charles have in store for us now and coming up in the next half century, give or take.

GH’s anniversary may have fallen on April Fool’s Day, but our GH and its milestone is no joke, right Soap Cities readers? We’ve laughed, cried, cheered, and booed our way through characters’ (and actors!) births, deaths, marriages, divorces, illness, injuries, and lots more. It’s not just entertainment.
