The Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, April 21st, predict that Chad isn’t ready to kiss Abigail goodbye just yet!

The Whole Nine Yards

Since Abigail’s (Marci Miller) out-of-the-blue, misguided break-up with him, Chad’s (Billy Flynn) been beside himself. He’s not ready to be alone and without Abigail, the love of his life and Thomas’ mother, even if she has decided he’s really in love with Gabi (Camila Banus). Friday he pulls out all the stops to win Abigail back.

There, There, Jennifer

Clearly, Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) have a strong bond. So it’s no wonder that the sensitive and intuitive Eric comforts Jennifer in a situation that has her quite upset. He assures Jennifer that she raised Abigail to be a strong young woman, and so she will be just fine.

In that vein, Abigail takes steps toward living an independent life.

Catty Kate

Meanwhile, something happens that is likely to make the situation between Abigail and Chad worse. Kate (Lauren Koslow), not a fan of Abigail’s and fiercely protective of Chad, sees Abigail and Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) together.

Don’t Mess With My Grandma

In the wake of Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Gabi’s confrontation that landed Julie in the hospital, Eli (Lamon Archey) remains miffed at Gabi. Sometimes Julie can rub people the wrong way though, and she probably should have saved getting into it with Gabi for another time. On the other hand, Gabi could have done things differently too. 1. I may be in the minority, but I have actually enjoyed Marci Miller’s Abigail even more that Kate Mansi’s. I am actually on the fence about how I want this story to work out. I have always been a “Chabby” fan; however, I think Marci Miller has better chemistry with Jordi Vilasuso (Dario) than she does with Billy Flynn (Chad). That being said, I think Flynn and Miller have better chemistry than Flynn and Camila Banus (Gabi). At least, that is how it comes across to me on screen. I am not into the whole Gabi/Eli thing. I am only 35, so I never saw young Julie, but I have heard that she was very much like Sami back in the day, and this storyline seems to be bringing that part of her back out. This is not the Julie character I use to love (the one who was almost another mother figure to Sami when Sami and Lucas were together). We have all heard the spoilers that Dario’s immigration status is going to come into question (which will probably be Kate’s doing), so maybe if he marries Abigail to stay in country, true love will actually form. I am okay with Abby/Dario and Chad/Gabi (it keeps Kate off Abby’s back and Julie of Gabi’s), but then it leaves Eli alone. Of course, I figure from there it will lead to a JJ/Lani/Eli triangle. Then again, they may find a way to introduce Chloe to Eli; I can’t imagine Julie would be pleased with that pairing either. Usually I am the king of predicting Days storylines, but for once, I don’t know how things are going to work out.
