He hails from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Talented Genes 

Show biz runs in his family. Dad Lou was a dancer and choreographer, (he danced in the movie Fiddler on the Roof!) and he and Zamprogna’s mom ran a dance school and an acting school. His sisters, Gema and Amanda also act.

Athletic Aspirations 

Acting wasn’t Zamprogna’s first love. In his younger years he had his sights set on soccer and basketball. We at Soap Cities are glad that acting won out, though.

Early Success

He got into the acting game as a youth, and can count among his early credits the film F/X2 and the television series Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Path to Stardom

With many acting credits under his belt, in 2000 Zamprogna scored a leading role as Mark in the Canadian television series Edgemont, which focused on the trials and tribulations of teenagers living in the town of the same name. Zamprogna has the honor of appearing in every episode of the show’s five seasons.

Onward and Upward

Post-Edgemont, Zamprogna lentt his talent to many projects, including multi-episode appearances on the popular series Battlestar Galactica.

Emmy Recognition

Zamprogna’s been nominated twice–in 2014 and 2016–for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor for his role as Dante on GH. He’s played the role since 2009.

Girls, Girls, Girls!

Zanprogna and his wife, Linda, have three daughters–Anbilliene, Eliana and Adeline.
