Daytime Vet Jennifer Landon Set to Star on Days of Our Lives

She may not be seen in Salem though, so the buzz is that Jennifer Landon’s character might encounter Nicole on the run with Holly!

A Soapy Star

“While Landon is going to Days, she’s not necessarily headed towards Salem–which supports the idea that the actress will make her first appearance on the NBC soap sooner rather than later, since Nicole is currently on the lam with her daughter Holly,” reported Soap Hub.

Lets’s hope she’s not another nefarious character who’s going to try to rob Nicole blind–or worse! Could she be a proxy for Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), or some other Salem-ite who wants Nicole (Arianne Zucker) back in town with Holly in tow?

What a Resume!

Landon cut her daytime teeth in the role of Gwen Munson on As the World Turns. For her portrayal of that Oakdale character, she won three Daytime Emmys in a row for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series from 2006 to 2008. Producers envisioned the role as a one-episode appearance, but her dazzling onscreen presence made it a five-year one.

Landon reprised the role briefly in 2010.

The actress also played Paul’s (Doug Davidson) daughter on The Young and the Restless, Heather Stevens.

Acting Pedigree

If her last name sounds familiar, it’s no coincidence. Landon’s father was Michael Landon, the TV icon whose name is synonymous with the show Highway to Heaven, and before that Little House on the Prairie. He also starred in the classic TV show Bonanza. He was featured on the cover of TV Guide 22 times.

Michael Landon died of pancreatic cancer in 1991.
