Y&R Newcomer Cait Fairbanks Sets Up Intriguing Story Possibilities

Actress Cait Fairbanks, soon to appear on The Young and the Restless

There’s going to be a new face on The Young and the Restless (Y&R). And we have some ideas about what Cait Fairbanks’ character may be up to!

A Set of Pipes!

Genoa City will soon be home to Tessa Porter. She’ll be “an upbeat, free-spirited singer with a strong intuition about people,” according to Soap Opera Digest.

That sounds like a fabulously fresh addition to the CBS sudser cast.

But There’s More

Another actress auditioned for a role on Y&R with exactly the same description, reported Serial Scoop. At that time the role was for “Ivy,” who applies for a job as Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) nanny. Her vocal skills soothe a fussy baby Christian, and she gets the job.

So, it looks like the two roles may have morphed into one, or they simply reimagined the role. We can’t wait to find out, and we know all you Y&R fans out there feel the same.

Could this lovely lady also be a complicating factor in Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick’s budding relationship? Or a love interest for Scotty Grainger (Daniel Hall)? It’s always fun to think about the possibilities that come with a delightfully mysterious addition. What do you think, dear Soap Cities readers?

Not a Long Wait

Fairbanks has begun taping scenes at Y&R and she will debut on the show on March 24th.

Though the actress is new to daytime, she’s no stranger to the small screen. She’s appeared in KC Undercover, The Middle, Two and a Half Men, CSI: NY, and several other shows.
