Yesterday news broke that made the soap opera community erupt with joy. Hillary B. Smith (Nora Buchanan, “One Life to Live) will reprise the role of Llanview’s Nora on “General Hospital” (GH). Today Smith’s ex-“One Life to Live” (OLTL) costar Kristen Alderson (Starr Manning) Tweeted her happiness at the prospect of Smith once again appearing onscreen. She also had some kind words for GH, on which Alderson played both Starr and Kiki Jerome. Scroll down to see her Tweet. Alderson is as kind and generous as Starr Manning, it seems!

Valentini Breaks the Awesome News

Yesterday evening (EST), GH Executive Producer Tweeted a video of Hillary B. Smith on the GH set as Nora Buchanan. The ABC sudser had managed to keep a tight lid on the news until Valentini’s Tweet. The soap community has been in a overjoyed uproar about Nora’s Port Charles future ever since. Soap Cities has written of how “All My Children” (AMC) and OLTL characters will be seen on GH. It could mean great things for the hope that those two iconic, canceled-for-now ABC soaps could be resurrected.   1. This is BEYOND great news! I hope that GH’s ratings siege with this announcement and that ABC realizes how important and loved AMC and OLTL are still. Who knows? Bringing others to GH may help ABC get the desired info to bring the two soaps back to daytime where they belong!!!
