Days of Our Lives February Sweeps: High Hopes for Hope and Rafe

1

“Days of Our Lives” February sweeps spoilers reveal that Hope Brady and Rafe Hernandez are headed for some dramatic–and maybe romantic–times.

Batty Hattie

“Despite Raines’ ongoing manhunt for Hope, she risks her safety to help Hattie,” “Days of Our Lives” (Days) Executive Producer, Ken Corday, told Soap Opera Digest in its latest print issue.

We can’t wait for some more Hattie (Deidre Hal) in our lives. This wacky character brings the humor and fun to Salem, and that’s always a good contrast to the intense drama in there.

Rope Reunited?

“Meanwhile, Rafe remains vigilant in his efforts to exonerate Hope for Stefano’s murder,” Corday said.

We at Soap Cities predict this could mean a reunion for the supercoupling of Rafe (Galen Gering) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) (aka Rope). Rafe has remained loyal and true, despite Hope’s going back to Aiden (ex-Daniel Cosgrove), first willingly and then under duress. A lot of beaus would have thrown in the towel, but not Rafe. When Hope finally can come back to Salem, we think she and Rafe will begin to explore a reunion.

Rope has positively combustible chemistry. And it makes a neat kind of sense for these two law enforcers to be together. It also opens the door to lots of storylines that could see them embark on cop-related adventures together. It looks like February 2017 will set the scene for some classic daytime romance and intrigue in Salem. Newly-named head writer Ron Carlivati is sure to take narrative advantage of this.

What do you think about Hope, Hattie, and Rope’s futures, Soap Cities readers?
