Joan Collins (Alexis Carrington, “Dynasty”) took to social media to share an absolutely delicious photo from a Golden Globes after-party.

Beautiful, Glamorous, Worshipped–and They Look Like They Know It

Joan Collins, is a Dame of the Order of the British Empire. But it is much more noteworthy to soap fans that Collins portrayed the inimitable and unforgettable Alexis Carrington (plus a hundred more last names) on “Dynasty” for eight years.

She posted an Instagram pic of herself with Donna Mills (Abby Cunningham, “Knots Landing,” Madeline Reeves, “General Hospital) and Naomi Campbell, one of the members of 90’s supermodel “Holy Trinity” (HT). The HT included the super-humanly beautiful Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington as well.

Collins, Mills, and Campbell were at a Weinstein Company-hosted post-Golden Globes party this past Sunday night.

Cozy, Yet Somehow Ferocious Too

Collins described the impossibly gorgeous trio “cuddled up” next to each other. They still somehow look like three magnificent, regal tigresses ready to pounce if you cross them. And maybe even if you don’t, just because that’s what tigresses sometimes do.

It’s enough to make a soap fan’s jaw drop and drool drip out, as it did for all of us at Soap Cities.

Scroll down for the pic.

A Few Ideas for The Powers that Be (TPTB)

First of all, put Collins on the upcoming “Dynasty” reboot on the CW, or on ANY daytime soap. She could also play Alexandra Spaulding on “Guiding Light” as she did briefly when Beverly McKinsey stepped out of the role.

Second, bring Madeline back to “General Hospital” (GH). Madeline’s departure from GH last year when she confessed to killing Silas and was carted off to Pentonville devastated all of us at Soap Cities. Reeves was a classic soap heroine/villainess, beguiling in her effortless elegance, despite her flaws. And her chemistry with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) was off the charts.

Third, now that we’ve seen Naomi Campbell next to Collins and Mills, we humbly suggest the following: bring that supernaturally stunning beauty to daytime any way you can.

As the catty, brilliant Michael K of gossip blog Dlisted said, the real star power and glamor was at the Weinstein’s after party, not at the actual Golden Globe Awards!

  1. Just wanted to comment on your Joan Collins article. I loved the read, but actually Collins became Alexandra Spalding when Marj Dusay had left the role. The controversy surrounding the casting of Collins was then Executive Producer Paul Rauch had claimed Collins approached him about joining the show, but in reality Rauch had offered Collins a good bi of money in order to stunt cast for ratings.

I don’t think I’m following, Jeremy. 🙂 Is there a factual error I need to correct?
